Challenge
As part of the application process for Doblin - Deloitte, designers are tasked with developing concepts and facilitating a presentation of the concepts. I was provided an insights document with information about the target users and the challenges they were facing. From there, I had to leverage the insights to create my concepts and presentation.
Approach
I started off studying the provided insights document carefully to understand what the challenges to be addressed were. I then conducted market research to find existing products that addressed those challenges in order to gather inspiration. I developed an ideation board that outlined the key activities and challenges users were facing, generated ideas, and organized them into distinct concepts. I then created visual mockups of the concepts with callouts to features and how the concepts addressed specific challenges. I then presented my concepts to Deloitte’s Chief Design Officer and facilitated a feedback session.
Outcome
I was able to deliver the case study and walk through my concepts with the CDO. Though there were minor suggestions, she felt the concepts were unique and leveraged a new perspective on technology that she had never seen before. I was ultimately extended an offer and joined the team a month later.
